FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE 

Due to the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic, and in accordance with governmental directives and public health officials’ guidance, the 2020 St. Paul Area Athena Awards annual luncheon scheduled for Wednesday, April 22nd has been CANCELLED. 

The Athena Committee will still be recognizing, honoring,  and celebrating these amazing female high school senior student-athletes.  We are developing an Acknowledgment page on our website that will feature Athena achievements and photos as well as links to their LifeTouch posters.  It will also include the content of the speech of our Keynote Speaker Margaret H. Chutich, Associate Justice of the Minnesota Supreme Court, and a message from our MC Randy Shaver of KARE11. 

We hope that this helps bring you some joy in these trying, uncertain times. 

ADs Please note:

  • All Banquet Reservations received to date will be refunded.
  • Annual School Membership Dues received to date can be credited toward the 2021 program OR refunded.  Please contact athena.stpaul@gmail.com with your instructions.
  • Athena posters and Athena plaques will be delivered to your school.
  • Please display the Athena posters at your schools.

Each year the Athena award winters are recognized at a luncheon in the Spring. The 2020 St. Paul Area Athena Awards Program will take place on Wednesday, April 22, 2020.

Join us in celebrating the 26th Annual St. Paul Area Athena Awards ceremony and luncheon in honor of the outstanding high school senior women athletes from St. Paul and suburban high schools.

It will take place on Wednesday, April 22, 2020.   Randy Shaver, KARE 11, will be the Master of Ceremonies.   Margaret H. Chutich  Associate Justice of the Minnesota Supreme Court,  will be the Key Note Speaker.
